Keith Gibbons, MSW
Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern
Hi, I am Keith, a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. Go Noles!
If not counseling, I’m dreaming of adventure days, trekking a windy, backcountry Glacier National Park mountain pass, stopping for the wild raspberries, dodging grizzlies, and negotiating sharp, slippery rock cliffs. In my day-by-day experience, you will find me training my strong-willed, smarter-than-me, German Shepherd dog. High adventure may be our big story, but the immediate moment requires a different kind of grit. Getting through the day, longing for the light at-the-end-of-the-tunnel…, that is far closer and more familiar.
Life’s toughest moments can often be the very tools that shape us, teaching us the power of resilience and the ability to overcome. It’s through our struggles that we learn what we are truly capable of. For
me, it is an honor to help others discover that strength within themselves as we navigate the painful yet powerful, journey of healing together.
At Jacksonville Counseling Services, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can find hope and clarity, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges may seem. Whether you’re struggling
with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or past trauma, I believe in the transformative power of vulnerability and self-compassion to guide you toward a place of strength and inner peace.
My journey to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own personal struggles and triumphs. From navigating difficult family dynamics and childhood neglect, to wrestling with identity and betrayal as an adult, I have walked the hard path of recovery. These experiences have not only strengthened me but deepened my understanding of what it means to be human, to fail, to learn, and to rise again. They have also deepened my faith in the grace that is available to us all.
In my work, I engage in clinical practice that is tailored to the individual, the couple, or group and as determined by context. My skills include Emotionally Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Narrative
Therapy. I bring specialized experience and insight working with Men, Couples, and Families facing transition. Additionally, I specialize in areas including sexual addiction and recovery, grief care, parenting support, attention disorder, betrayal, anxiety and depression.
It would be a privilege to work alongside you as you rediscover your strength and resilience. Together, we’ll walk the path toward healing, building a life that reflects your true worth, and writing a new, empowered chapter in your story.
I am available for individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and group sessions. I also offer telehealth services for your convenience. Let’s connect and begin the journey toward healing and
resilience.
