Julie Norman
CSAT-Candidate, MA
Licensed Professional Counselor (TX, FL, and CO)
I’m Julie Norman, a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX, FL, and CO) . I work with adults navigating ADHD, betrayal trauma, compulsive sexual behaviors, intimacy challenges, faith-based shame, and identity development—especially when life looks “successful” on the outside but feels exhausting or misaligned on the inside.
My clinical training includes EMDR, IITAP’s CSAT model, CBT, EFT, sandtray, and Gestalt-oriented therapy. In practice, I integrate somatic awareness, attachment science, and values-based living to help clients slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and make meaningful, sustainable changes. My style is relational, practical, and deeply human—I care about what actually helps in real life, not just what sounds good on paper.
I have a particular passion for working with high-achieving but burned-out professionals, caregivers, and individuals exploring intimacy with intention, ethics, and self-respect. While I’m personally Christian, my practice is explicitly non-coercive and client-centered. I work comfortably with people of all faith backgrounds, mixed-faith relationships, and those healing from religious harm or spiritual shame.
Beyond individual and group therapy, I facilitate workshops, retreats, and psychoeducational experiences that blend psychotherapy with embodied practices to support connection, repair, and long-term change. I also speak nationally on consent, neurodiversity, and communicating with intention—often described as “edutainment”—drawing from my background as a former Human Intelligence Collector, global missions director, mother, grandmother, and a human shaped by both chaos and resilience, with neurodivergence diagnosed later in life.
In the next stage of my career, my goal is to be a force multiplier in the field of counseling—contributing to research, teaching, and the supervision of new clinicians so that thoughtful, ethical, well-supported therapy reaches more people than I could ever serve alone. I’m currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University, with that vision very much in mind.
