Hannah Parsons

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Hello and welcome! My name is Hannah Parsons and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida, license number IMH22935. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and my master’s degree in mental health counseling with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Jacksonville University.

Prior to pursuing counseling, I worked as a clinical neuroscience researcher at the University of Georgia, studying various aspects of emotion, cognition, behavior, and psychophysiology. I have a great interest in–and appreciation for–the many factors that influence who we are and how we relate to ourselves and others. I believe that every individual has inherent value, purpose, and the capacity for growth, and my goal is to walk alongside individuals and couples as they work to promote healing, transformation, and healthy connections in their lives. My treatment approaches include Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with other evidence-based practices according to the individual’s or couple’s needs.

I believe that walking in the redemptive grace and love of Jesus is the ultimate path towards healing, growth, and peace. When welcomed by clients, I love to integrate a Biblical worldview and the truth of God’s Word into sessions. However, this is not a requirement for receiving sound, professional care as my client.

For questions about my services or scheduling, please feel free to reach out to me at hparsonscounseling@gmail.com.
