I’m Rich Wheeler, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida License MH 27202) who works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and grace-filled space where clients can explore patterns, develop practical coping skills, and experience meaningful growth.

 

I hold a master’s degree in counseling and bring over a decade of clinical experience using an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. My work draws from cognitive-behavioral strategies, emotional processing, and strengths-focused interventions to support insight, resilience, and lasting change. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based treatment that uses guided eye movements to help clients rapidly process trauma, anxiety, grief, and other distressing experiences. ART often allows clients to reduce the emotional impact of difficult memories without having to recount every detail of the experience, helping them move forward with greater peace and resilience.

 

For clients who desire it, I am intentional about integrating Christian faith, biblical principles, and spiritual reflection into the counseling process. This integration is always guided by the client’s comfort level and personal beliefs and is never required. I believe faith can be a powerful source of healing, identity, and hope, and I seek to honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while maintaining ethical and clinically sound care.

 

I believe counseling is most effective when rooted in authentic connection, truth, and
compassion. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking deeper clarity and restoration, my goal is to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, growth, and purpose.
