Danny Cano

Hi, my name is Danny Cano, and I am a counseling student intern currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

 

I bring over two decades of experience in both ministry and business leadership, where I have worked closely with individuals and families navigating life transitions, stress, loss, and personal challenges. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to mentor others, support teams, and walk alongside people in meaningful and often difficult seasons of life.

 

My desire to pursue counseling comes from both these experiences and my own personal journey. Along the way, I have learned the importance of finding balance between faith, family, and career,
while also navigating seasons of anxiety, stress, and working through areas of personal hurt. That ongoing process has shaped how I view growth, healing, and the importance of having a space where people can be honest and supported.

 

I approach counseling from a relational and holistic perspective. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe, known, and understood. My goal is to create an environment where clients can explore their story with honesty while being encouraged toward growth. My developing approach is influenced by Adlerian principles, with a focus on identity, belonging, and purpose.

 

I am comfortable integrating faith into counseling when it aligns with a client’s goals, while also meeting each person where they are.

 

Outside of counseling, I have been married to my wife Bethany for over 20 years, and we have four children. I enjoy spending time with family, fishing, working out, cooking, and being involved in missions and community life.
