Gil Martin
Hi, my name is Gil Martin, and I am a Master’s student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Liberty University. I am committed to living with Jesus at the center of my life, alongside my wife of fifteen years, our four children, and my purpose of helping others draw closer to Jesus.
I have a passion for helping couples and families grow closer together to restore brokenness and heal the hurts that can develop in these
relationships.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Kentucky and have spent over 20 years in youth ministry as a Youth Pastor for middle and high school students. During that time, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help, lead, and guide individuals through their life struggles and spiritual growth. Additionally, working with
parents and families became a passion of mine. I realized that becoming a support system for the entire family was crucial for families to grow closer to God.
I use evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families and remain open to integrating other methods as needed. My faith shapes my worldview, and I can incorporate biblical faith and spirituality into sessions if you’d
like.
It would be an honor to support you on your journey, offering encouragement and practical tools to help you move forward with hope toward healing and restoration.
